Mosey & Mosey, Abbvie, Amgen and Gilead have all joined PAFA as associate members. These leaders are supporting the PAFA Program and the administration framework that everyone can reference to evaluate their payer. Payers can become members and adopt the PAFA Framework to become accredited. Adopting the Framework will result in a faster, more accurate process and lower costs to clients.

What are the benefits of membership and associate membership?
- Recognition – We’ll regularly recognize our members in our communications, and on the PAFA website priorauthframework.ca. You can use the PAFA associate member or member branding on your communications and on your website.
- Input and Involvement – Members and associate members can:
- Participate in governance on PAFA’s framework and accreditation advisory board
- Contribute and have your say in shaping the future of the Framework at regular member meetings.
- Participate on the Accreditation Panel – associate members are eligible to apply.
- Becoming Accredited – Payer members who follow the Framework and become accredited will be acknowledged and can use the PAFA accreditation branding.
- Annual Reporting – All members can contribute to our annual survey and report on prior authorization in Canada.
Why is supporting the PAFA through membership and associate membership important?
PAFA has created the only publicly available guide to best practices for the prior authorization claims process. In the Guide, you will learn what to expect from private and public payers that are adjudicating prior authorization claims. Without the Guide, you won’t know what to expect from payers and you cannot objectively evaluate a payers prior authorization process.
